Mauricio "N" reveals that he was paid 10 thousand pesos for homicides; authorities link him with criminal groups in Jalisco
Mauricio “N”, El Mawicho, alleged member of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), arrived in Mexico City four days before participating in the murder of the two Israeli citizens Benjamín Yeshurun Sutchi and Alon Azulay, in Plaza Artz Pedregal.
He also exreo and who was identified by the authorities as the second shooter in the events that occurred on July 24 in the commercial plaza, revealed, in his first statements, that he was paid 10 thousand pesos for the double murder. The amount doubles what his accomplice, Esperanza "N", arrested that same day, said he was paid.
Sources consulted indicated that El Mawicho is part of the CJNG. In this regard, the general chief of the Investigation Police (PDI) of PGJ, Omar García said: "We presume that it does have links with an organized crime organization in the state of Jalisco."
Yesterday morning, IDP agents arrested Mauricio “N”, 23, in collaboration with elements of the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena), in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, García Harfuch reported at a press conference yesterday afternoon.
The troops transferred him to Mexico City and took him to the Central Prosecutor's Office for the Crime of Homicide. The Mawicho only declared the payment he received for committing the crime, then he was admitted to the Men's Preventive Prison, where he had already been imprisoned in 2015 for robbery.
The transfer was carried out under an operation coordinated by investigating agents and elements of the Sedena, after having executed the arrest warrant against him for the crime of qualified homicide. It will be in the eastern prison where the hearings are held against him to define his legal situation.
Although the motive for double homicide is not yet established, the PDI chief commented that four days before the crime, El Mawicho, from Jalisco, arrived along with other subjects in Mexico City with the precise instructions on how and when they would carry out the killing of the two Israelis.
According to the investigations, once in the capital, Mauricio “N” instructed Esperanza “N” - formerly of the KM bar of the children of El Ojos, of the Tláhuac Cartel - to enter the Hunan restaurant, where they were placed about meters of their victims and waited for the signal to open fire. García Harfuch said the investigations showed that El Mawicho, after committing the double homicide, left the capital of the country to hide in Jalisco, where he believed he would not be arrested.
Agents assigned to the PGJ managed to delimit the area of operation. Yesterday morning the detainee was placed, so the arrest warrant in Zapopan was complied with, for his probable responsibility in the commission of the double homicide.
The fieldwork led the investigating agents, approximately two weeks ago, to the state of Jalisco, backed by the local Attorney General's Office, since they had indications that the participants, after they had escaped aboard a Kia car, They moved to the entity mentioned.
At the time of the arrest, three more people with different doses of different narcotic drugs were also captured.
On Wednesday, July 24, five subjects arrived at the commercial plaza. That day, on Tower 1, the accomplices of the two material aggressors opened fire on a policeman and inside the restaurant, Esperanza “N” and Mauricio “N” shot at Benjamin Yeshurun Sutchi and Alon Azulay.
