Seems like the zetas are getting more professional, Good camera quality, sharp custom uniforms, & most importantly they knock their victims unconscious before they decapitate them....not serious

More professional?
They just murdered a family. Clubbed all of them in the head with a 4x4 (like they were seals) and then decapitated 3 women and a man just cuz they were relatives of a sicario. 'not serious' is an understatement.

Probably the first time I disagree with you. This brand of violence does nothing to win a war. It just raises the level of violence, desensitizes the people and makes a country hate you, especially when this kind of violence is used on innocent people. Karma always turns on the more reckless and violent gangs, mafias, cartels and governments. History has proven this. I will provide you with proof if you need it. Just compare the zetas to the Taliban. The zetas have now become insurgents. They created their own breed of relentless violence and used it to intimidate an entire country and that's how they became so powerful. It was good strategy at first. But then they grew too big too quickly and that violence just kept spreading. It never stops until you stop the provocateur. Now the zetas have created such a stigma towards themselves from the Mexican people and their rivals and the government, that their own strategy has turned on them and now they are taking heat from every angle. They are not as strong as they use to be. they are on a decline. This was an act of desperation. Just like the 49 dead bodies that were left on the highway. If you see that the zetas are acting (more professional) it's only cuz they are trying to change their dirty image. They want to be viewed more like the Sinaloa Cartel but they will never be what their arch rivals are. They are not business men, they are ruthless criminals. La Cosa Nostra understood this. You have certain rules that should be followed. Keep it a criminal business, not a syndicate of serial killers. "Don" Carlo Gambino understood this. He was ruthless when he had to be but he always remained professional and always kept a low-profile. He kept his organization as a business. He died at the age of 74. he only served 22 months in prison. Paul Castellano also lived till the age of 70, until he was assassinated by John Gotti. When John Gotti took over. He ruled the Gambino Family with an iron fist. He changed the structure and began selling drugs (A Big broken mafia rule). He made it much more violent and killings went on a rise. He put too much of a spotlight on himself and the Gambino Family because he didn't follow any traditions and he ended up ruining the Gambino Family. John Gotti died at the age of 61 in prison. The zetas should learn from the Gambino Family.

If that is his family it doesn't look like he cared too much for them.

El diablo is only getting a taste of his own action (He deserves it) but innocent relatives and women should be left alone. That's some pussy shit.

Just want to throw this out there... Could this be another betrayal in the ranks like the one between R-1 and Metro 3? I don't think I've ever seen a video of cartel family members getting done up like this. I doubt the family was out advertising their relationship to Diablo. So someone had to say something. Hell even the cops themselves could have done this. These people do not look like the Zetas we are used to seeing. Smells like a betrayal and a cover up to blame the Zetas. What are the chances of the Zetas getting that lucky and hitting where it hurts the most?

elrey,
I am going to respectfully disagree with you. Within organized criminal history the "successful" organizations knew that they were treading a line between being feared, and being deemed something like insurgents. I believe that the Zetas are being labeled "insurgents" due to their over the top violence. I don't think anyone underestimates the CDS capability of violence, however they understand that they have to run a business and despite what may be going on in Mexico blood is bad for business. This doesn't mean the CDS is any less violent, but it seems like they understand that calling attention to their violence can, and does backfire. People know if the cross CDS they will be killed, but they do not take it to the level of the Zetas and that is smart on the part of CDS. It is my opinion that Lazca is a very smart leader, 40 I am not so sure about. I think the Zetas would do well to tone down the violence and focus more on the money making part of the drug business, after all that is what they are in the game for anyway, to make money. Though with the Zetas it seems as though they be in it just as much for the violence. |
