The Cartel of Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) is targeting Tabasco.
It is one of the country's criminal groups dedicated to drug trafficking, extortion, kidnapping, arms trafficking and the huachicol, created in 2007 with the name of 'Los Mata Zetas', as part of the armed wing of the Cartel from Sinaloa.
In 2010 it became independent, and the following year it became known publicly, led by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias 'El Mencho'.
The CJNG is considered one of the most dangerous criminal groups in the country, being the main rival of the Sinaloa Cartel, who is fighting the control of squares in the country.
Currently, it controls territories of Jalisco, Veracruz, Nayarit, Michoacán, Guerrero, Colima and six other states. He has tried repeatedly to enter Tabasco, but its members have been detained or repelled.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) presented Wilbert Rodriguez Morales, 38 years old, and originally from Veracruz, considered responsible for the criminal cell in the entity, to whom the intelligence area of this police force had detected seven months ago, but his arrest had not been possible.
According to data maintained by the authority, the captured person was accountable to a person nicknamed 'El 80' and this in turn to a superior, considered the regional leader known as Hugo Gonzalo 'El 90' or 'El Sapo', who controls Veracruz and Puebla with the transfer of drugs, huachicol, robbery with violence of cargo transport, kidnapping and executions.
'El 90', is the second in command of 'El Mencho', who is the leader of the CJNG.
Rodríguez Morales maintained his operations center in a warehouse located in the southern ranch of Comalcalco where two loaded trailers were found, one with construction materials and the other with jet skis.
It should be noted that in the last two years in Tabasco 24 members of this cartel have been arrested.
