Mexico.- Agents of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) seized 250 kilograms of crystal, heroin and fentanyl in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.
In a statement, the agency said that this action was taken when the federal police conducted security and prevention operations on the San Luis Río Colorado-Gulf of Santa Clara highway.
Agents of the Environmental Mission of the Gendarmerie Division of the Federal Police stopped a vehicle carrying 253 plastic containers of different sizes with crystal and four with heroin, as well as three plastic bags presumably with fentanyl.
The drugs and the car were placed under custody of the Public Ministry of the Federation, who will be in charge of determining the exact type and weight of each substance and of initiating the corresponding inquiries to locate those responsible. The driver managed to escape on foot (or at least that’s what the police report says).
