But in the past 2 months it has escalated exponentially, the shootouts are between Zs and various police agencies.
Last week Moreira publically asked Calderon for federal help. 3 days later federal forces by land and air arrived.
Saltillo. Like other Mexican cities, is not reporting all the violence, just a small portion of it. My staff was there week before last and was hotel bound for several hours as a shootout ensued outside. There were no reports in the media about the shootout. None.
