It was told to me by a cousin whos involved in the mana in reynosa that Metro Tres the leader for CDG  and his right hand man R-1 in reynosa were unhappy with the leadership of the CDG mainly with the the new Guillen as boss and Coss, so they broke away and took with them the majority of the sicarios who were loyal to the new leaders of the new faction.   R-1 and Metro 3 are leading the way.  I can confirm that they broke off and are the new leaders to their group, but it was also told to me they have a truce with the zetas.  This is about to get very interesting in Tamps.  This leaves the old CDG with noone.  R-1 will control the plaza in matamoros and Metro-3 in reynosa.

Oh, wow!!! That is news!!! Rumors are plentiful in that business but many will discredit you until there is proof. I'm not saying i believe it or not but thanks for your input. In my opinion, I don't see Metro calling a truce with the Z's after they killed his son. Its just my 2 centavos.

They didnt kill Metro 3s son. His family lives in the US away from potential harm as does all the capos and heads of the cartels in mexico.  My neighbor is the wife of a high ranking CDG commandante in matamoros.   I heard the same thing here in brownsville regarding the rift but I heard that el Coss and the guillen the new leader are the ones that are trying to make a truce with the Zetas.   Metro 3 and R-1 have no respect for Guillen whose brother was gunned down.   I hear they are leery of their old boss because he got such a small sentence in a medium security prison, while his predecessor got like 6 life sentences at the supermax in colorado.  guess that says who talked!   el coss and guillen are proven ineffective bosses and when m3 and r1 were passed up for the inferior gordo as they call the new guillen boss, that just pissed them off.   tormenta was killed because he double crossed the commander for the mexican army.  thats why they killed him.   anyway...the good guys are metro 3 and R1, who are heading the true CDG or nuevo federacion against the zetas.   Theyve kicked out the zetas from tamaulipas and heading to take back monterrey which is why they killed the pelirroja.  Metro 3 and R-1 are the guys that can dominate the Zetas.  Take my words to the bank mi amigos.  Saludas a Rafa y todo los rojos del CDG

Tamaulipas is infested with Zetas, although things have been calm in some parts, there is still a lot of hornets buzzing around..

This is a man who would tie children to the top of his trucks and strap them with guns for his own protection... Literally tie children to the rails on the roof of their trucks with a belt and strapped them with R15s...

I find it hard to believe that they will take back Monterrey or Nuevo laredo for that matter..

Nuevo Laredo has been under Zeta control for a while, and they are very deep in it..

Rise, if that is really you.  i sincerely hope it is.   Of course, im not in mexico and get tidbits about what is going on from friends, neighbors, family (actually a primo who is supposedly involved).   Please let us know what is going on in matamoros and tamaulipas.   So metro 3 and R1 started their own deal?   As long as they are killing zetas, they are the good guys.   R-1 strapping kids to trucks, im sorry i dont see it.   From what ive heard and seen of this man from videos etc, and the honor of his men he commands, i seriously doubt that hed put kids in harms way like that.   Maybe the zetas did that but i just dont see r-1 doing that.  i also heard that tormentas position was given up from someone close to him.   he was seen as a problem that needed to be disposed of.   i heard also el coss blames metro 3 for giving up his position because he wanted wanted the top job.  maybe thats why el coss is in hiding.  word on the street is metro 3 gave up tormenta...cdg inner struggles for power.   oh how we remember guillen el mata amigos killing his friend to asend as boss...i also hear lascano is in fear of his life too from the power hungry z-40.

Hey, Huevudo... thanks for your insights and all but I think you should check your sources. The Z's did kill M-3 son. That is a fact. I do agree with you about R-1 though. Don't get it wrong... he is a twisted man but i don't think he'll put kids or whoever on top of their vehicles. I might be wrong Rise. Hell, R-1 was the bodyguard of Z-40 at one point in Nuevo Laredo. He has to be twisted, right???

In my opinion, i think metro, R-1 can take over Nuevo Laredo. The advantage metro, R-1 has is that they know the area very well, but its going to take time. i believe (correct me if Im wrong) it took 4 years for CDG and Z's to take Nuevo Laredo. In time... we shall see.

I agree with you Rise about Z's being in tamualipas. they are in san fernando and in Mier and west ward last i heard but they are fighting so it might go back and forth.

I sincerely hope peace will come to northern mexico.   may the new CDG lead by metro 3 and R-1 get rid of the vermin los zetas.  as soo as the zetas are gone, things will get back to normal.

Both are extortionating and just by Zetas controlling Nuevo Laredo, can you imagine what kind of income that provides for them? At 500-800 por quinsena that they pay to their foot soldiers.. The guns they buy are a lot more expensive...

Gun traffickers does not mean they're orgazed individuals.. A lot of the guys doing this are kids.. 18-19, barely old enough to vote.. get somebody to sign for an R15, pay them 200$.. Cross it to mexico walking.. An R15 costs you around 900$, they pay 150$ for somebody to sign their name and then charge for their labor work.. How much do you think each gun is running the cartels...

On the R1 topic, I'm not claiming he did it himself, personally.. But I've been told by more than 1 people of this technique being used by his soldiers..


I wish it was true, I wish it was just as simple as the Zetas being exterminated and everything going back to normal, but I know of kidnappings that where carried out by CDG.. They are not the good guys, what we have to worry about is our stability and best chance for survival.. Nuevo Laredo is run by Los Zetas, and people aren't as tormented there as they are in Matamoros or other part of Tamaulipas..

I asked a few guys on blogdelnarco who are actually affiliated with CDG and they told me that those things in regards to tying kids to trucks by R-1 are totally untrue.  Who in their right minds would do that?   maybe the zetas...but not the guys (cdg) who have the respect of the people.

oh and its been confirmed that metro 3 and R-1 are the new heads of the new federation.   R1 reynosa to nuevo guerrero and metro 3 from matamoros to reynosa.   A guy by the name of commandante 35 is heading operations to rid zetas in monterrey.  Stay tuned as the federation is gunning for an all out assault on nuevo laredo, stronghold of the zetas

The first guy (fat, white shirt) to spank these kids is 35 I believe, I can only compare it to the picture of his back but the description would indicate it has some relation to 35 too. I thought it was just car thieves or something when I came across it, but maybe it's halcones for the Z's, or the Zetas are getting younger.

It's weird that Metro 3 would take command of Matamoros and not Reynosa which has been his plaza for years (as far as I know), any idea if it's so he can keep better control over the scorpions and the lobos whose comandante was Tony Tormenta until he died and probably still have loyalties to Osiel/Coss?

Its my understanding that El coss, whos been super absent due to fear of capture, has had a major rift against Metro 3 and maybe blaming him for NOT sending reinforcements to tormenta when he was gunned down.  when the leadership role shoulda went to metro 3 when tormenta died, it was a slap in the face when the leadership was given to another cardenas, who had no respect nor made his bones within the organization.    Metro 3 is and will always be in reynosa but his role has expanded to overseeing matamoros.    El coss is out as boss of CDG.   The new federation consist of ALL the old CDG guard.   Escorpiones from matamoros, rojos from reynosa and the lobos who are now part of reynosa since laredo isnt CDG anymore.   CDG and new federation do not tolerate members doing drugs, extorsion, raping, and basically terroristic activities.   From what i heard, that was not Tormenta who in his panaroia turned to meth to keep himself wired all the time, he partied too much, was simply a poor ineffective leader.   When El Coss turned out on the billboards in brownsville, he basically abandoned the CDG in fear of capture.   So without an effective leader, the leadership roles fell on metro 3 and R1 or Juan Reyes aka Kike.   A few CDG were found out to be extorting businesses in reynosa and matamoros and were dealt with harshly by metro 3 and his sidekick, M35, who now has a band of over 100 sicarios hunting zetas in monterrey.   Rest assured, business is being taken care of and zetas should be in fear.   What was once a poor leadership, the NUEVO CDG is stronger than ever.    Hint Hint...I hear El chapo of the sinaloa cartel wants the CDG in nuevo laredo and just wants control of the corridor north of the laredo from mines rd to cuidad juarez.  Hes losing enough men against BLC and Juarez cartel so he wants to help CDG and help himself with the zetas gone.... zetas in nuevo laredo should tremble in fear.   when the zetas were a feared group of sicarios who were highly trained mercenaries, now they are a band of cocaine, meth addicted bums with nothing to live for or lose.   CDG are heavily armed and way better trained.   more fighting in store and WW3 when CDG and the new federation decend upon nuevo laredo and oust the zetas from their stronghold

i believe that is M35 in that video.   I hear they call metro 3 la puerca by the zetas due to him being an ex-cop.   That was a zeta halcon getting his ass whipped.   he deserved it too.  great video
