New cdn leader?? And possible cjng alliance.

Elmango
Hey all let me just say i was following a facebook page and they posted the following stuff. I dont know if its been posted here before or if its even credible but it talks about a CDN/cjng truce.

Los Zetas have Nouveau Boss

A verified and convicted terrorist who attacked a U.S. Consulate with a grenade and automatic rifle fire has taken over the ruthless Los Zetas cartel, a group headquartered at the Texas border in the Nuevo Laredo-Laredo metropolitan border area. Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, sits immediately across the border from Laredo, Texas, and is the only urban location along the entire U.S.-Mexico Border that does not have any fencing or constructed security barrier of any kind. The convicted terrorist, Hector Raul Luna Luna, is known as “El Tory” and was convicted in the 2008 terror attack on the U.S. Consulate in Monterrey, Mexico. He was released from prison due to bribes paid by Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) and has now taken over the dominant faction of Los Zetas, Cartel Del Noreste (CDN), to open up the lucrative and unsecured border corridor into Texas.

Under El Tory’s new reign, Los Zetas is linked to a level of brutality that had not been seen in prior years. Gruesome executions, dismemberments, targeted attacks on police and military officials, and the general use of intimidation have become commonplace in parts of northern Mexico as El Tory and Los Zetas try to expand their operations.

In late 2018, Nuevo Leon Governor Jaime Rodriguez Calderon publicly singled-out El Tory as one of the men behind the escalation of violence in his state. According to the governor, El Tory and his criminal organization were linked to the large majority of the violent deaths in the state.

Most recently, Breitbart News reported exclusively on a series of threats made by El Tory, who claimed he would blow up the headquarters of a state police agency in Nuevo Leon. The threats were made through several narco-banners that Los Zetas hung throughout the industrial city of Monterrey. The threats are considered credible by law enforcement in Mexico, since El Tory has a history of targeting police and has used grenades in the past.

El Tory was released from a Mexican federal prison in mid 2017 with the help of his close friend and ally Eleazar “El Chelelo” Medina Rojas and his new ties with CJNG, so the two could help establish a Los Zetas-CJNG corridor from Monterrey to Nuevo Laredo and into Texas. Their release came at the hands of a federal judge and a “control” judge who ruled in each of the two cases to release the two cartel bosses. El Tory was serving a sentence of more than 20 years for the charges of crimes against public health (drug trafficking), engaging in organized criminal activities, and unlawful possession of restricted military weapons. Both El Tory and Chelelo have extensive criminal histories and are wanted by U.S. authorities.

The interesting part is that he is most likely one of the main guys behind the recent uptick in violence and push for new territory on CDN's behalf.

CJNG connection and taking over as leader sounds tabloid and is something I immediately put in my Ripley Believe it or not-part of my brain.

Interesting article but I also have to agree that this sounds rather improbable.

After all, wasn't Primito's faction of Los Metros CDG supposedly tied to CJNG as well? If so, why are CDN going all out against them at the moment?

If they're all linking with CJNG it would follow that they would be settling their differences and teaming up to deal with Matamoros CDG's growing power base.

Besides, wasn't CJNG born from Los Matazetas and the Milenio Cártel? Killing Zetas is their thing. Improbable, but not impossible. I haven't read too much about the northwestern side of Mexico, as my curiosities focus more on Tamps, etc, but if they are having struggles opening routes there then it makes some modicum of sense they'd be trying to open up routes at other major corridors such as Nuevo Laredo. Which of course belongs to CDN.

There is however, another possibility, I suppose. This being that we are seeing the potential of a rogue splinter from the greater CJNG machine which is still claiming the banner of CJNG as a show of force as is typical with most Mafias - and that it is these individuals who are attempting to align with El Tory. After all, CDG is constantly fighting CDG. So this would not conflict much with CDN's latest manta in Miguel Alemán.

In terms of the recent manta one might surmise the overall 'primary' CJNG is attempting to assimilate Primito's Metros and that there are other operatives of the CJNG who instead see CDN as a stronger partner than Primito; and the greater, long term opportunities involved in the Nuevo Laredo corridor.

It would make more sense to align with the CDN given the monetary benefits of the corridor, after all. CJNG has international distribution networks, whereas I believe the majority of Metros income comes from extortion and street level drug trade. Especially since the deaths of old time heavyweights like Gringo Mike, Mellado, etc. So if history could be forgotten why not make alliances in places you can move weight?

There is course secret option number three. Which is that the Miguel Alemán manta was an attempted deception left by the Matamoros CDG faction? As I believe they are also trying to disrupt Primito?
Just a lurker.

Finding it hard to believe that there would be a CJNG/CDN alliance. They are sworn enemies, the CJNG were called Matazetas, and CDN are new gen Z's. I don't see CDN allying with anyone, Z40 even from prison would never allow any other group to get even a small amount of influence in NL, because that city is his stronghold, if he loses that he has nothing.

Is there any proof to this story?

Is it confirmed who the new CDN leader is? Isn't it still Z40?? I know plaza bosses are assigned every now and then, but I think the ultimate reign still lies with Z40/Z42.

For what it's worth, here are my thoughts on all this:

"El Tory" was a notable member of Los Zetas prior to their split from the Gulf Cartel, operating in Nuevo León, specifically Monterrey. He was blamed for the attack on the American Embassy in that city that took place in October 2008 and was subsequently arrested on June 9, 2010, approximately six months after the Los Zetas/Gulf Cartel split. Thereafter, "El Tory" was imprisoned in Puente Grande, Jalisco until his release in mid 2017.

Following his release Breitbart began periodically reporting news about him. In particular, they frequently claimed that his release was the result of a pact that he formed with the CJNG, which allegedly controlled the prison. While cartels tend to have dealing in prisons located within territory they control, the possibility that CJNG would be able to secure his release from a federal prison merely because it was located in Jalisco is debatable at best but I will concede that there would be an increased chance that he would be able to meet and negotiate with high ranking CJNG members.

Breitbart has also placed "El Tory" in association with Eleazar Medina Rojas, alias "El Chelelo", another member of Los Zetas who was said to have been the head of plaza in Nuevo León up until his arrest in April 2007. While I have not read elsewhere about their relationship, it is quite logical that "El Chelelo" was the direct predecessor of "El Tory" and that "El Tory" may very well have worked under "El Chelelo" up until the later was arrested.

Following an 8 year prison sentence, "El Chelelo" was released from prison and allegedly rejoined Los Zetas. He was arrested months later in Nuevo Laredo, thus further implying that he associated with the CDN upon his release. At some point he was again released from prison and was arrested once again in December 2018, this time in Mérida, Yucatán. The Breitbart version of events place him there on behalf of the CJNG while all other media reports I have read merely give the details of his arrest without any details why he would be so far from his traditional base of operation.

Another unique Breitbart report involves the events following the killing of Luis Reyes Enríquez, alias "El Rex" in the federal prison of Nuevo Laredo in November 2018. As it has been frequently reported, in the days after his body was stolen, mutilated, and various parts were left along with messages signed by CDN outside the prisons of Topo Chico, Apodaca and Cadereyta, all located in Nuevo León. Breitbart's version of this indicates that it was "El Tory" who gave the order to steal the body of "El Rex".

Putting this all together, it would seem at first that Breitbart is uniquely obsessed with the idea that "El Tory" is connected to the CJNG. However, this seems to run counter to outside information. We have seen multiple incursions by CDN into territory controlled by Los Metros faction of the Gulf Cartel lead by "El Primito". It has been frequently rumored by multiple sources that "El Primito" has sought an alliance with the CJNG and, in fact, recent banners have further alleged this to be the case. As such, it would seem illogical that "El Tory" is connected to the CJNG and CDN at the same time that "El Primito" is connected to the CJNG.

However, there is one piece of information that Breitbart mentioned in an article about Eleazar Medina Rojas, alias "El Chelelo", last October that should be taken in account:

"Medina also brokered an alliance with the CJNG to create a Zetas/CJNG hybrid that would allow them to take control of Nuevo Laredo, a border city currently controlled by the rival Los Zetas faction Cartel Del Noreste (CDN).

The alliance is meant to dethrone current CDN boss Juan Gerardo “El Huevo” Trevino Chavez, thus giving CJNG one of the most important drug trafficking routes into Texas. Instead of trying to take the city by force, Medina has allegedly been working to get key CDN operators and leaders to switch alliances.

Medina has been on the radar of Mexican military and police intelligence agencies since 2006 as a shrewd operator who worked to corrupt border officials with hefty bribes and executions. While operating in Nuevo Leon for the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas, Medina managed to establish a working relationship with the regional head of the Beltran Leyva Cartel, Hector “La Burra” Huerta Rios, to work in his territories with complete impunity."

If this were to be the case, then the news about "El Tory" being connected to the CJNG makes more sense as long as one considers him to be a member of a splinter group of the CDN working against the main leadership. One should also take in consideration previous rumors that "Los Katas" under the leadership of "El Cepeda" were breaking away from the CDN and linking to the CJNG due to him being a member of Los Chachos around the turn of the century. There may be more going on under the surface than initially appears.

In addition, there is an alleged past connection between "El Chelelo" and "La Burra", that later of which has also been released from prison and is involved in fighting in Monterrey against the Beltran Leyva Cartel under the leadership of Rodolfo Villarreal Hernández, alias "El Gato". If one considers the possibility that "El Gato" has maintained an alliance with the CDN, then it would make sense that we have yet another example of a splinter group fighting against that main alliance.

Yeah, If Tory is leader of CDN or he is holding some higher position atm, it means that he has been important figure for Z-40, he has experience in leading cartel in some parts of states which might mean that Z-40 could approve him as leader of his organization. CDN are like new generation Zetas, They still claim themselves as being Los Zetas in corridos in their raps on FB pages, using Z symbols a lot, im pretty sure CDN will put bullet into anyone insulting la Letra in Nuevo Laredo. They did originally originated from branch of los Zetas in Nuevo Laredo, they still think that they owe Los Z for their existence thats why they still carry their name, its on their veins.

Thx for info btw, Why do you think he would bath his hand with blood  by Killing Z-12 (Rex) inside prison if he considers to be from splinter group alligned with CJNG? werent CJNG originally called as Mata Zetas? Didnt they threated to erase all of Zetas not mentioning its actual leadership, Lazca and Trevino morales?
I guess money changes/switches everything else around the world.
Maybe it was Érick Valencia Salazar el 85 that took war with los Zetas as personal, as there are mentions that los Zetas influence into Michoacan and support to LFM under Tisico back in early 2000s made Valencia cartel a lot weaker. Tisico started dispute with Valencias because of some woman that perviously dated Tisico went with one of the Valencias family member.
Maybe its Mencho that perfers to have alliance with Zs(CDN) as he is leader right now and not el 85. he can might not have any personal problems/complex to align with CDN

CDN and Mencho are not allies at all! CDN last week called El Mencho "apestoso" in a narco manta that had a picture of El Primito of the CDG Ribereña.

Since Tori got out of prison Monterrey it's been so bloody just like 2010-2012 with a lot of kills, from rival gangs and even Taxi drivers. Yesterday night 3 taxi drivers got killed in Monterrey most probably where halcones or something.

I been noticing something since AMLO got his presidency seems that CDN has been more violent than ever putting narco mantas and narco messages in Tamaulipas, Monterrey, Coahuila and SLP. It's very weird how CDN is getting a lot of power....

Btw awhile ago in Monterey a restaurant that supposedly is owned by Hector Huerta aka La Burra (Beltrán boss in San Pedro) got set on fire I wonder who did that? They reported that a group of armed men came to the restaurant and set on fire the restaurant.

So maybe the battle in Monterrey is CDG/ZVE/ Beltranes (La Burras cell) vs CDN and Beltranes (El Gato Cell)... Btw H3 of the Beltranes got capture today in Jalisco.

Does anyone know how many Beltranes cells are they at the moment?

Any credible sources indicating Erick split off from CJNG?

Remember, he is a Valencia (of high rank/importance) and was/is the true right hand of Mencho. They together were Los Torcidos, Matazatas and most importantly.. the CJNG itself..
