Apparently it's believed that the murders of the 7 cattle ranchers is related to the recent fighting in Choix.
San Blas, in the municipality (county) of El Fuerte in the Sierra of Northern Sinaloa has been the scene of resurgent violence this year. The body of a young man found in San Blas is latest in a series of attacks, including the murder of 7 farmers last week by armed commandos apparently angry that the farmers wouldn't tell them the location of someone they were looking for. Another murder in El Fuerte, Sinaloa San Blas, El Fuerte. - With a black bag on his head, naked and with visible signs of torture was found the lifeless body of a youth in the community of Vinaterías, El Fuerte. The identity of the deceased is still unknown, but apparently it could be a young man kidnapped the day before yesterday in Colonia La Chuleta, San Blas, El Fuerte. ![]() Police where the body was dumped Photo: AI Medios The report of the discovery of the body took place today at 9:00 AM on the road from San Blas to Los Mochis, on the edge of the lane that runs north to south. The murderers left a narcomensaje on the corpse. Furthermore, around 6:00 AM, neighbors reported hearing cries of pain. Elements of the Municipal Police of El Fuerte received a report that under a cement cross, located in Vinaterías, crossing a dirt road that leads to La Criba de Potrillos was a dead body. The preventive and state police came to the site, and after reviewing the site located the body. The body was face up,he was naked and had a black plastic bag tied over the head. On the body, the executioners left a narcomensaje. ![]() Investigators at the scene of the most recent murder He had contusions in various parts of the body and was shot in the head. The city noted that the deceased is light brown skin, 1.70 meters tall, has short hair, in a military style. At the location many curious onlookers approached the spot where the body was found but no one identified the man. Staff of the state attorney general's office specializing in homicide were notified. Experts have not located any shell casings at the site, so presumably he was killed elsewhere. The PM ordered the body to be moved by funeral staff. http://www.debate.com.mx/eldebate/noticias/default.asp?IdArt=12375564&IdCat=17402 San Blas has a long history of violent incidents, including massacres, kidnappings, and dismembered or beheaded bodies. In 1980's, San Blas was under the control of a kidnapping and drug gang led by Miguel Ángel Beltrán Lugo, “el Ceja Güera” He was murdered in the Atliplano prison in Toluca, not long after the escape of his protector and ally, Joaquin Guzman Loera. Recent murders in San Blas are related to the fighting in Choix last spring: ![]() The scene of the murders of 7 farmers, last week San Blas, El Fuerte. - This rural community which came of age under the Chihuahua to the Pacific railroad experienced its own darkness Wednesday, when seven farmers were massacred in cold blood by an armed group in the middle of an alcohol fueled get together in a sports field. To date and according to the evidence, the police have no leads in finding the murderers of seven people , although the evidence has been collected, 106 shell casing for AK-47's and AR-15's, and it is known that at least two people were involved. From the evidence presented so far, we know that the gunmen may have discussed with the cattle ranchers, the brothers Carlos Roberto and José Antonio Ruiz Osorio, 55 and 45 years of age, and killed them because they refused to tell the whereabouts of a third person, causing the double murder, first and later the killing of the other five to avoid witnesses. The five people killed in the act are farmers, Tomás Cazares Vázquez and his son Erasmo Cazares Soto, 67 and 47 years old, respectively, Samuel Medina Agüero 30 years old, Domingo Ruiz Guerrero 64, and last, Fidel Arredondo, 57. However, other versions collected point to another direction as the origin of the slaughter, since Cazares turns out to be uncle of Denys Soto Torres, a San Blas native whose body was exhumed in Choix by funeral employees in the mountains, just two months after the outbreak of a bloody clash, which according to official reports of military and then, was due to the clash between forces loyal to the Sinaloa cartel against an invader command of the triad-Carrillo-Beltran Leyva Zetas. Louis Alberto Jauss López, regional deputy of Justice in the north, said that the slaughter is being investigated thoroughly, but there are no relevant data on the origin and authors. "These will begin to flow after the funeral honors." In Culiacan, Governor Mario Lopez Valdez said he sent a group of researchers at San Blas to research the background of the victims. "We are sending a group to investigate, to give you a follow-up, see what a history there of people who died, what the reasons might have been if we can give the families or those who know or some witnesses who were there to try to clarify these facts. " And he made a revelation: "In the case of San Blas the police operation did not fail, because we had no operating there." The mayor of El Fuerte, Eleazar Rubio Ayala, after the slaughter of civilians, just managed to declare he would ask the State Government to increase the operations. While police were investigating the background of the dead and the government armed groups fighting with statements here, mourners buried husbands, fathers and sons. The Ceja Guera During the eighties and nineties, Miguel Angel Beltran Lugo, the Ceja Guera, was the power in San Blas. The kidnapper who moved on to drug trafficking, stated his position, "Let me fight for me, I'm on my own, but these poor bastards that you see do not have enough to eat." With fists of dollars, he bought social immunity and police protection, while the political benefits of this fell when the men under him moved on or because the educational progress of their careers ended, the gunman explained in one of several interviews granted. ![]() Miguel Ángel Beltrán Lugo, El Ceja Güera In one such interview, the Ceja Guera, who by then had become public enemy number one, had professed that "he helped his people, from Sinaloa to San Blas to Choix and because the government had just fucked them." Generous to the poor and needy, no patient had to come up with dollars for the purchase of medicines, payment of hospital, doctor, school or tortillas. - And how do you? -A little "company" wants to know. Ira, "crazy", falling aircraft, office and drop me bags, little ones, with the skins of frogs, so is "comparable." Those dollars stay here, for people, for them to care and look after me. So he never got caught in the mountains, and also because I knew hiding, though he never explained, as only say: "In the bush, I am the company, I know it backward and forward." The Ceja Guera lost control of his people when he was arrested and held in Guadalajara in maximum security prison of Altiplano, from which he died. http://www.riodoce.com.mx/content/view/14725/ |
