They were rehearsing at a time of the attack, a police officer told media. Wounded in the attack Rodolfo Gomez Valenzuela member of the group, who plays 'narcocorridos', and his brother Roberto Clemente, who in the past was also part of the band playing drums. The brothers were taken to Culiacan, capital of the northwestern state of Sinaloa, for medical care . Well at least they sounded somewaht decent, just bad taste in song/style corridos. I have to ask a question is Beto quintanilla the worse sounding one? its just my opinion, i think he actually screamed songs/and talked into the mic. I think this Gerardo ortiz and so on are truly overblown and horrible. give me the days of cadetes and tucanes rocking the mics.
Durango you are right man, the days of Cadetes, Ramon Ayala, Invasores, etc. are over with the new generation of crappy music.
But what did this group "Cartel de Sinaloa" expect? Same would happen to a group that called themselves "Grupo Zeta" or "Cartel del Golfo". How stupid can they be?

yeah with names like that you might as well just commit suicide. Valentin had a horrible voice but had a certain artistic flair that made the masses like him. I had the opportunity to alternate in a baile once with invasores and they are truly class acts. cant say that about larry hernandez and these other narco wannabes, but here in chicago they are getting tuned out little by little, their is only so much people can take. the music is horrible the only thing you hear is the Tuba and played badly might i add. i cant say anything about duranguenze since it was a wave i rode jajajaja, we at least kept it mild corrido wise, just about horses or old timers.....FYI duranguenze was always a chicago invention, there were no actual dgo groups that played that style, but like all music fads only the creme of the crop stays....
Yeah well here in Houston they really faded out quickly, even new stations had to spring up that vowed not to play Durangense music or any Banda! lol They play strictly norteño such as those groups I just mentioned.
But yeah with those names, they had to be stupid not to think someone would try to take them out. Those other narco wanna be's have it coming and rightfully so! Even groups that don't sing that type of music are in danger but these guys push the line too far with their songs.
