Leader and founder of Grupo Bravo in Zeta Viejas arrested

leChef

SAN NICOLAS DE LOS GARZA, NUEVO LEÓN.- One of the leaders and founders of Grupo Bravo of the cartel of the Zetas Viejas Escuela, was captured in this city, with drugs and weapons. Strangely, he was at liberty, after he had been arrested four months ago, for participating in a series of kidnappings and after facing gunshots against elements of the Army.

Raul Tadeo Banda Perez alias "El Tadeo" was arrested by elements of Fuerza Civil along with his accomplice, Jorge Heriberto Coronado Barrios, who found them in possession of a long weapon, a pistol, several doses of marijuana and glass, as well as a scale and empty bags.

The Tadeo had been arrested on December 8, 2016 in this city, after facing gunfire against military personnel; It was in the Colonia Unidad Laboral, in San Nicolas, where 8 Los Bravos members of the poster Los Zetas de la Vieja Escuela were captured, links to executions, kidnappings, extortion and vehicle theft.

Banda Perez alias El Tadeo, according to federal investigations, is one of the founders of Grupo Bravo, originally from Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas and an accomplice of El Oaxaco or Bravo 1 -recently arrested-, Shagy -death in a confrontation- and El Rojo , all members of Los Zetas Old School.

The Tadeo is indicated in the federal inquiries as one of the precursors of the violence in Nuevo Leon and Tamaulipas and is investigating how he obtained his freedom, four months after his capture in this same city.

Well, who would think these guys are druggies?  Founder of Grupo Bravo in Zeta Viejas?  Looks like he just got out of college.  Mug shot, look confident, because you don't know what's going to happen next.  Stupid youth.  No chance -

Thanks for sharing but LOL @ “leader and founder”...

Perhaps this was one of Oaxaco’s early confidants but in no way was this guy a “founder”... Unlike Rex and the others that have gone down, these clowns have zero history as being original Zetas...

"Founder" is an most likely an exaggeration. Mexican media outlets are not known to be the pinnacle of fact checking, but they are quite good at copying. Sometimes I wonder if they have degrees from Fedex Office instead of journalism schools. Seems I have become quite good at copying without critical thinking too

However, this brand of Bravo, is not the old school CDG group operating in southern Tamaulipas, and Zeta Viejos are not actually old school in most cases, I think it is more the best name they could come up with going against the Trevino Morales'.

Perhaps he belonged to Oaxaco's original estaka.

Agreed, founder may be a bit much but as Mennytimes pointed out "El Tadeo" was mentioned a number of times in messages signed by CDN. He seemed to be focused on nearly as much as "El Oaxaco" and "El Shagui" at the time.

Almost a match with #7 Jalisco thread for "Miguelito" but I think not.  Your take?

Another running buddy caught in Laredo and is extradited back through to Laredo to Mexican authorities, "Scarface".  Article below has many photos of Zeta captures through the years, worth a look.
