Guadalajara, Jal.- The General Administration of Customs (AGA) seized 72 kilos of piperidimine, a chemical precursor base of fentanyl, in the customs of Guadalajara, Jalisco, coming from China, reported the Tax Administration Service (SAT).
The supervisory body pointed out that, derived from the national strategy to combat drug smuggling, the Central Administration of Electronic Processing of Customs Data (ACPEDA) issued the alert of illicit goods in the area of risk in air cargo traffic.
According to the official report, he added, AGA personnel detected three packages with 72 bottles weighing one kilogram each, which contained said chemical precursor.
The contraband was made available to the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) in order to integrate the corresponding investigation folder, he added in a statement
“With these actions, Customs reinforces the institutional: increasing collection, reduce evasion and avoidance prosecution and fight corruption ”, highlighted the SAT.
