Hello El Gavilan! Thanks for your posts. I hope you decide to stay. I was not aware of the articles you've shared. We had posted about El Chapo's daughter Rosa Isela Guzman Ortiz before, but not about this interview.

Re: El Chapo’s Trial Post/Updates

El Gavilan
Hola Mx

I’ve lurked for many years, always just about to post something and boom someone beat me to it.

Think we may get slightly different types of articles on narco trafficante and are usually seemed to be sourced from elsewhere.

El Chapo would probably make fairly big news stories over here but even the likes of El Mayo or El Mencho who are major headlines in US or MX I’d imagine only seem to occasionally get a look in - they certainly will one day if caught or killed but till that day.....

That girl claiming to be Chapos daughter was proven to be a fraud is the last I heard from Chivis I believe.  Chapos family said they didnt know her.  One thing that stuck out to me was when she said everyone calls him "Archvaldo" not "Joaquin"  yet his lawyers and Emma call him Joaquin...lol.  She then only posted some pictures claiming it was of Chapo but only barely showing the mans mustache and nose and they didnt even look similar to Chapos.  Weird lady really...I think she did it in an attempt to get famous.  Those social media pages are fakes bro...Emmas IG page is also fake its all photoshopped bs and look a likes.

Is she the one who was arrested at the San Ysidro POE in 2012?  If so, I think he is probably legit, her lawyer represents Sinaloa Cartel members, upper echelon.

No...were talking about the one who came out of blue saying she was once married to Vincentillo,  owns all the beauty salons in So Cal and said Chapo came to her house twice in California after he escaped from Altiplano lol.  The authorities pretty much knew where he was the entire time according to DEA agent Hogans book so her claims seem really far fetched.  Emma said the entire family claimed she was a fraud but who knows.  Chivis could probably shed some more light on the issue.

Yes they all said she was a fraud--the one in SoCal

but I wonder...they said that about the young woman caught at the border as well.   then she posted the foto above which means nothing, but it discounts that the family all said they did nt know her.

so the jury is out on this.  but has little relevance in the big picture

Alejandra Gisselle is the daughter of chapo and Alejandra Salazar--the only legal wife of chapo and they never divorced.

"Gisselle"  did enter a war with Emma  after Emma's last interview.  in the interview Ema said anyone wanting to use chapo in a project has to get her permission.

Gisselle went nuts and posted her parents marriage certificate , birth certificates etc saying her parents are legally married and anyone wanting to use chapo name or likeness etc for projects has to go thru them.

if they did get the copyright then it was in the last couple of months because they have been rejected 3 times

El Gavilan don't worry about posting a link only if it's already within a story. We don't like link only if it's 1 of the headline stories on the forum mainpage(like the 1st post of a story) then we like texted story (even if the photos are not included but the photos would be included in the link)and then the link either at the top or bottom of the story. The exception to that might be a video that just has the link.I had not seen those 2 stories so thanks for sharing.Welcome to BB even though you've been a 'longtime lurker.'

Interesting move...  I am not sure what to think of AMLO yet.

Mexican president visits 'El Chapo's' home turf after guilty verdict
MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Friday became the first Mexican president in memory to visit the birthplace of the country’s most infamous drug trafficker, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman - just three days after a U.S. jury convicted the kingpin.

Before the trip, Lopez Obrador said the visit to Badiraguato, a mountainous municipality in the northwestern state of Sinaloa long associated with Mexico’s cartels, was aimed at “regenerating public life.”

“We should not stigmatize,” he said. “Badiraguato is a historic town, lots of people deserving respect live there.”

The left-wing populist was scheduled to give a speech in Badiraguato’s municipal headquarters later on Friday.

Though warring gang factions have inflicted periodic bloodshed on the municipality, some villagers speak fondly of the largesse of their native son, who was born in the hamlet of La Tuna and whose Sinaloa cartel provided work for marijuana and opium poppy growers.

With a population of 32,000, Badiraguato is still one of the poorest municipalities in the state of Sinaloa and the country, according to Mexican statistics agency Inegi.

Lopez Obrador, who has spoken of the need to fight poverty across Mexico, was due to announce a development plan for Badiraguato that included a new highway, a public university and a program to plant trees.

“Until now, I’ve never seen a president come here,” said Javier de la Rocha, a 41-year-old farmer.

El Chapo is not the only drug lord who calls it home - Rafael Caro Quintero and Ernesto Fonseca Carrillo, both former leaders of the Guadalajara cartel, were also born nearby.

In a district where 70 percent of residents live below the poverty line, the capos emerged as unlikely benefactors, building roads and buildings, locals say.

That may explain why some locals found Lopez Obrador’s visit, coming after El Chapo’s conviction on smuggling tons of drugs to the United States, so significant. With the drug lord behind bars, and facing a probable life sentence, Badiraguato will need a new champion.

“Mr. Guzmán helped the town a lot. Now that he is not here, let’s hope the state responds,” said Jose Carrillo, a 61-year-old day laborer, while eating at a chicken restaurant named after El Chapo.

Several residents said they were cautiously optimistic about Lopez Obrador’s plans and eager to work on the construction of the projects.

“With the university, my family is no longer going to have to travel to study elsewhere,” said de la Rocha, the farmer, leaning on his shovel in front of a huge sign welcoming Lopez Obrador to town.

as my friend doc mireles would say "all theater"  a university is all show, building small schools that house teachers. giving a bonus if they stay fr a full school year is a better answer.

I traveled in rural schools like that, i even built shower rooms and kitchens for the schools.  and teachers converted a class room into sleeping areas with blankets on ropes as "walls"  they are always first year teachers that seldom stay more than a couple of months.

begin at the beginning --no one can go to a university if they are not literate.

amlo sounds good....to those who have not a clue

chapo and his first wife remain close.  she is fully involved in the business

it is the culture, what can i say?  but make no mistake his first wife he respects deeply.  when he landed at altiplano he named her as his wife----not Emma

Not that I know of.  Salazar is very common...I have Salazar cousins [no relation]

he only legally married once.

I agree Zulema is the most interesting and I believe his greatest love.  How she died was horrific

His first two wives are rumored to be cousins. Not sure if that’s true but they’re both from the same town in Sinaloa. The town is called Jesús Maria.
