They assure more than 1.4 tons of marijuana, crystal and fentanyl in San Quintín
With preliminary data from the federal government, 570 kilograms of marijuana, 800 of crystal and fentanyl, as well as an 200 horsepower Inmenza-type vessel were seized
ENSENADA.- More than 1.4 tons of marijuana, crystal and fentanyl, as well as a boat were insured by civil and military authorities during an operation deployed in Bahía Falsa, San Quintín, on Tuesday, June 16.
This morning, military sources confirmed the assurance of 65 packages of the drug, the 200-horse Inmenza-type boat with an outboard motor, in addition to synthetic drugs.
According to a statement, personnel from the 67th Infantry Battalion, when making tours of the area known as Punta Azufre, located an abandoned riverside boat in which they found various packages that ultimately gave a weight of 588 kilograms of marijuana, 810 kilos of synthetic drugs and 8 kilos of marijuana seed.
Altogether, the drugs threw a weight of 1 thousand 406 kilograms; the insured was transferred to the facilities of the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic in the city of Ensenada. There were no people arrested.
The operation involved the Secretariat of National Defense, the Secretariat of the Navy-Navy of Mexico and the National Guard.
Border Patrols in the US didn’t start counting Fentanyl seizures until about 2017/2018, I believe. If you look up the stats of how much was seized each year and how much has been seized in 2020 alone, your head just may explode..
