Mexico´s Federal Police achieve capture of David Rosales Guzman aka "Comandante Diablo" is Considered Regional Chief for the Monterey Area by the Gulf Cartel (or Cartel del Golfo - GDG) responsible for multiple homicides, kidnappings and extortions.

Some crimes where David Rosales Guzman is linked directly:

  • The killing of two men, who were hanged on a pedestrian bridge between the limits of Monterrey and San Nicolas de los Garza, Nuevo Leon, on August 8, 2012.

• The killing of three people, the August 8, 2012, outside the bar "Makiavelo".

• The attack on the bar called "Matehuala" in Monterrey on August 14, 2012, which killed nine people and injured three others.

• Attacks on the bars "Azul Tequila" bar "Jugs 2" and bar "Eternity" on August 20, 2012, where a woman died

• On Wednesday led the murder and kidnapping of four people, who were located at mitres colony center in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

The detainee will be made available to the Public Prosecutor of the Federation.

Would have rather seen the other Diablo go down. If he is ever captured or killed it will more than likely go down near Victoria, Tamps. That's were he's doing the most damage. This is good though. CDG has really ruined Nuevo Leon. The people have it bad already with Z's and these a-holes only make it worse.

I want to say Burberry shirt, or knockoff, but I think it's Hollister or something.  This isn't the same one, from the videos?  CDG has lost several plaza bosses in the last few months, in the Monterrey/NL area.

@Chivo.  In your most recent posts (the last couple of months) you had changed your call for the death penalty to a call for the death penalty by public hanging.  That is an important distinction.  You probably call for Mexico to adopt the death penalty more than any other Member, so don't forget to add the "by public hanging".

These guys face possible  death everyday, so why would threat of death by the govt. scare them?
What would scare them is the threat of public hanging. Hanging from the gallows, having defecated  and peed in their pants when the noose snapped with the whole world watching would be such a humiliation to these macho narcissistic scum that it would be a deterrent.


Your may recall a long post (Baggy called it wordy) that I did back in May where I proposed MASS PUBLIC HANGING  in the Zocola as punishment for narco related homicides.  Some excerpts;

I PROPOSE A PUBLIC HANGING AS PUNISHMENT FOR CARTEL MURDERS. Not a Sadam Hussein private style hanging.  but wait until you have a big group of convicted narco killers, a 100, 50, whatever, and hang them publicly at the same time on the Zocola (the main plaza in Mexco city).

The cartels commit many if not most of their horrific attrocities to shock and instill fear amongst the populace, and to show their power and control.  If the government inflicted this horrific punishment on convicted Cartel killers, it's purpose would be to shock and instill fear amongst the cartels, and inspire respect for the rule of law in the populace and show it's power and control.

But how that death penalty is carried out could well be a deterrent.  Rather than being done behind closed doors in a gas chamber,, or by injection, or even the elec. chair, a 100 or so bodies hung in a public square for all the country to see is a different thing.  I think the DTOs would look in horror and dread the possibility that they might end up humiliated in that manner.  I think the people in Mx. would let out a "grita" "Si, we will fight back" that be heard world wide .
