California family accuses Mexican cops of illegally entering their home on New Year's Eve and assaulting them before placing them under arrest

A California family who traveled to Mexico for the holidays claims they were tortured by police officers who illegally entered their home in Veracruz

Abraham Rosado, who is a United States resident, said he was preparing wood to roast meats for the family's New Year's Eve dinner before the incident occured

Video footage recorded by one of the minors, who was visiting from California, shows the moment the cops point their automatic rifles and cursed at the family

Male members of the family that were vacationing as well as those living in the town of Santa Rosa showed injuries suffered at the hands of the cops

The family dismissed a police report, claiming the cops planted two long range rifles, two handguns and 178 ammunition cartridges

The cops were accused by the family of stealing their U.S. passports, money, jewelry and cell phones

A holiday trip to Mexico turned into horror when a team of cops barged into a family  home and allegedly tortured them for almost three hours before detaining them, including four Americans.

Abraham Rosado, 58, said he was preparing wood to roast meats for the New Year's Eve dinner when state police agents suddenly entered the Veracruz home.

Rosado, a U.S. resident, said the officers were looking for cartel members and drew their automatic rifles at his family, including two minors.

Shocking video footage recorded by one of the minors, who was visiting from California, shows the officers walking around the family's compound aiming their weapons and cursing at the them.

Family members appear trying to escort the cops out the home's yard during a heated exchange as two other cops jump over the metal security fencing.

Rosado and six other males were blindfolded and taken to a police station on Monday, before they were released Thursday morning, according to Cronica de Xalapa.

One of the arrested vacationing family members also accused the cops of stealing their money, passports, cell phones, jewelry and wallets.
