REYNOSA, Tamps. - Héctor Raúl Luna Luna, El Tory, former head of the Zetas in Nuevo León, threatened to blow up the headquarters of the State Agency of Investigations (AEI) if the agents continue to get involved with the families of members of the Cártel del Noreste. ("Northeast Cártel.")
The warning was made through a series of narcomantas that were recently placed in at least eight points in Monterrey, one of which was placed inside an AEI headquarters.
"If they catch any of us there is no mercy, it is the risk we run," reads the blanket that was published today by the Texas portal Breitbart Texas, an electronic medium that maintains a close relationship with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). .
It is added that the agents of the AEI have been torturing and "raping the wives and daughters" of the members of the Northeast Cártel and that this is "going overboard."
According to the text of the blanket, the war against the agents of the AEI would begin "with an explosion in the building of Gonzalitos", nickname of the offices of the Agency of Investigations of Nuevo Leon.
El Tory, was captured in August 2010, and linked to the attack with grenades to the United States consulate in Monterrey, as well as the murder of military and police.
In mid-2018, a Mexican judge released El Tory and his close ally Eleazar Medina Rojas, El Chelelo, from a federal prison.
El Chelelo was arrested again on December 7th, 2018 in the city of Mérida, after committing a traffic infraction.
The violence in Nuevo León intensified after El Tory took over the reins of the Northeast Cartel.
As a consequence of the increase in violence, Aldo Fasci Zuazua, Secretary of Public Security, has already resigned.
El Tory is responsible for the increase in executions in the metropolitan area of Monterrey and for attacks against the Fuerza Civil police corporation.
It is also attributed a series of threats against agents and leaders of the Investigation Agency of Nuevo León.
The threats have so far led to the recent murder of police officer Luis Ricardo Morales Hernández, who was shot dead in one of the main avenues of Monterrey.
The media reports that El Tory has also been linked to a series of threats and narcomantas of the cartel related to the struggle for the control of prisons in Nuevo León.
"Drug trafficking and protection within state prisons in the border states have become a lucrative enterprise for former Los Zetas," he says.
US police sources revealed to Breitbart that El Tory has been identified as "the brain" behind the murder and dismemberment of a leader of a rival cartel whose fragments were left out of four state prisons in Nuevo León and Tamaulipas. (El Rex, I assume.)
Since last November, violence has intensified throughout the region due to clashes between the CDN and the group calling itself "Zetas Vieja Escuela".
The new wave of violence is reaching levels that were recorded in the worst years, 2010, 2011 and 2012 when the "executions" exceeded two thousand per year.
