Chihuahua, Chihuahua. - Ministerial Police agents captured an alleged Sinaloa cartel hit man who allegedly participated in the execution of eight people who were kidnapped last weekend in the municipalities of Jiménez and Valle de Allende, Chihuahua.
Óscar Fernando Ruiz-Esparza Ontiveros was arrested during an intelligence operation conducted in Parral, where he used to sell drugs.
He was captured during an operation in which undercover officers were used to locate and arrest the accused killer at a house on Madrid 57 street in the colonia Miguel Hidalgo.
police seized a .40 caliber pistol with 10 cartridges, 1 drum magazine with 72 7.62x39mm cartridges, 34 rounds of .40 caliber ammunition, a smoke grenade, a "cuerno de chivo" [AK-47], a bulletproof vest and a two-way radio.
Ruiz Esparza is said to belong to the Sinaloa cartel, and his companions left their fingerprints on a cardboard placard with a message in which they attributed the crime to someone known as M-10.
"The fingerprints were analyzed in the national database Identification System AFIS and the information was crossed referenced with the Mexico Platform [crime database] and that's how they came up with Óscar Fernando Ruiz-Esparza Ontiveros," the state official said.
He noted that the prosecution has a video where the detainee is involved in the kidnapping of the now deceased in Jimenez, Chihuahua, and also the vehicles and people involved in this crime can be seen.
