Eleven alleged members of the "Nueva Generacion" criminal group, accused of operating in Costa Grande, were arrested by a joint operation of the Navy Infantry and federal and state police.
The arrests were made in two different places, and the subjects were linked to vehicle thefts, homicides and express kidnappings that occurred on the Zihuatanejo-La Union highway.
It was confirmed that in a first act and through intelligence work, ministerial police conducted the investigations that allowed the arrest, in the town of Tibor, municipality of La Union, Chayanet "N", Elivs "N", Simon "N", Alexis "N" and Julian "N", and 3 weapons caliber 5.56x45 millimetes, an AK-47 weapon (Goats Horn), and a Remington gun caiber 30.06 millimeters.
Also, a semiautomatic machine gun, cartidges of different calibers, metal and plastic loaders, tactical equipment: uniforms and trimmings with suspenders, as well as a white Dodge Ram Pick Up truck, with state license plates GZ-3438-A of Guerrero.
In a second action, in La Salitrera, in the municipality of Zihuatanejo, they captured 6 more members: Adam "N", Juan Manuel "N", Luis Abel "N", Israel "N", Hector "N" and Eduardo "N".
They secured three shotguns of 12, 16 and 30 millimeters, two M1 carbines, vehicles and 480 doses of granulated cyrstalline substance with characteristics of the drug known as "Crystal" and dried green grass with the characteristics of marijuana.
